Creatives: Are You Killing Yourself on Price?

Are the fees or prices you’re charging for your creative services too low? I bet they are.

Try doubling the money. You have to deliver the goods, of course, but that’s true in any work. Chances are that the clients you ditched needed ditching, the clients you carry forward and the new clients you land will pay those fees happily and will better understand the value you bring.

And I’m guessing you’ll be happier and much better off in the long run.

You’re so cool! I do not believe I’ve read anything like this before. So great to find somebody with some unique thoughts on this subject matter. Seriously.. thank you for starting this up. This website is something that is required on the web, someone with a bit of originality!

I did this back in 2009. It was very scary, esp. with what was going on with the economy at the time, but I had to do something. I was burned out and ready to quit. In the end, it was the best thing I ever did. I did get better clients, have a lot more fun now, and feel like I’m really delivering value to my people. (music lessons.)
