However, the conditions in Colorado this summer have brought record breaking wildfires. There are currently three major fires burning at once. The High Park, Waldo Canyon and Flagstaff fires have consumed, by some estimates, over 100,000 acres and close to 600 homes. Devastating.
The photography coming out of Colorado is powerful. From the captured emotions of people watching their homes burn, to tired firefighters, to apocalyptic-like skies – it is reminiscent of a war zone. Thanks for your posting on this website. From my own personal experience, periodically softening right up a photograph could possibly provide the photo shooter with a bit of an inspired flare. More often than not however, that soft cloud isn’t just what exactly you had as the primary goal and can usually spoil an otherwise good image, especially if you thinking about enlarging that.
