Happy Holidays! Today’s podcast is a twist on the usual – no guest, just some important ideas from yours truly that may help…IF you want to make changes in your life.

First, there’s a crazy stat — something like 80% of people fail to achieve their New Years resolutions – and most give up within the first 2 weeks of the year. Yet here we (all) are, back to reflecting on how the past year has gone and what we’d like to do different in the coming new year.  A virtuous endeavor for sure, but something’s missing…

Honestly,  I’m not throwing stones here, as I LOVE this time of year. Pausing & reflecting is required to assess your current state, and to set new goals – to create any change and create your life! Among other things, if we never pause to look up from the grind for a moment, it’s easy to miss the signals that we might need to course correct.

SO, it’s no secret that I’m a big fan of setting goals… But today, in parallel to any goals you might be lining up for  2019 (I encourage you to set a few!), I’d like you to consider going one layer deeper than *just* goals.   In short, I’m wondering if, instead of focusing *just* on the goal, try focusing on adopting some new behaviors this year.  What are a few behaviors you want to live with over the coming year such that- if you adopted these behaviors and they became undeniable habits-  that these habits could not just reach a goal, but dramatically change your life?

That’s what today’s special episode of the podcast is all about…  I share with you what works for me – some of the mistakes I made in 2018 on my own goals, and what I’m doing to remedy those whiffs to make lasting change.

In this episode,

  • I share a series of simple questions I ask myself as I look back, including the obvious what went well, what didn’t go well, but also evaluating my clients, my relationships, and more
  • Goals are great, but the secret to success are your daily habits.
  • It’s not about perfections, it’s about progress. I share how a few of my goals this year and my process for tracking and measuring my progress.

Enjoy this short, powerful episode of the show – and Happy Holidays! Remember, we’re all in this together.
