Nikon Df Unboxing Video + Test Images + First Impressions While Actually Shooting Photos [gasp!]

Video thumbnail of unboxing the Nikon Df camera
When the Nikon Df arrived on the scene a couple months back, I tried to temper the hype (my own included) with a good dose of high expectations. Yes, it looked bad ass. Yes, it housed the same sensor as the D4. Yes, the optical viewfinder has 100% field of view. But as a compact camera fiend and someone whose owned probably 50 cameras or more, I'm no pushover. New Twist To Iconic Photographs [Abe Lincoln + Others Via Fresh Photoshop Colorization]

Might have caught this earlier, but here's a fascinating look at iconic portraits that were originally shot in black and white that have since been colorized in Photoshop. These guys/gals look like a bunch... read more ›

Hey all, Erik here with a quick guest post about a subject that’s raised a lively debate in our studio. Everyone on our crew has long been shooting with Polaroids, rangefinders, micro 4/3 cameras adapted to accept vintage lenses...even processing digital images to look like they came out of an old dusty camera. Surveying the landscape, it’s clear this tide has been rising for a while now and we’re not the only ones attached to... read more ›

1970’s Polaroid – Still Got It After All These Years

Polaroid has still got it after all these years. As proof, and for some Friday fun, check out this 1970's retro how-to video/advert/documentary. Still cool and amazingly poignant. Polaroid - the original social network. Snap a picture, show your friends = Create. Share Sustain. Note the range, accessibility and the diversity. Pretty impressive. Reminder to check out the Impossible Project, plus one of my recent Polaroid snapshots after the jump.Continue reading
