If You Build It And They Don’t Come

There’s a common mis understanding about the phrase, “If you build it, they will come.” A classic quote from Field of Dreams, but an often-deceiving belief we have as creators. Trust in the universe and belief in yourself are paramount, but do you really want to leave it up to chance?

Today’s episode includes three tactics for strategically getting your work seen. If you haven’t already, check out CJ RAW episode, The Other 50 Pct. We recap that concept briefly and then talk about how to amplify the stuff you’re putting out into the universe.

A few questions to get you going before the show:

  1. How are you participating in your community? Are you adding value to those around you?
  2. What does patience do to your creative longevity?
  3. Who are you creating for?
  4. How do you manage your time on social? Are you blocking out time and engaging strategically?

Feeling like you’re yelling into the wind doesn’t mean your work isn’t good. So keep building, but don’t leave it up to chance.
