Jasmine Star: How to Grow Your Community

Just a few days ago, my book Creative Calling hit it’s one year anniversary. And what a year it’s been.

One of my favorite things about the last year, has been the growing community pursuing their own calling and rallying behind creativity. Community is critical for support, feedback, opportunities, and of course, celebrating those wins. Yet, it’s one of the most overlooked areas for creating success in any field.

So it seemed fitting to share this conversation I had last fall with my good friend Jasmine Star on cultivating our own personal community. If you’re not familiar with her work, let me catch you up. Jasmine Star is a photographer and a business strategist. After quitting law school, she picked up a camera and built a huge internationally recognized + respected photography business. Over the past few years, Jasmine has expanded her business to help entrepreneurs build a brand and market it on social media.

What I love about this conversation is Jasmine really taps into many of the commonly asked questions around cultivating community such as:

  • How to navigate social situations as an introvert
  • How to create real personal connection
  • The importance of consistency and continuing to show up
  • How to break through fear of what other people think
  • and so much more.

Today’s episode is part of a companion class for Creative Calling. If you missed the class, it’s available for FREE for anyone who purchased a book. You can grab it over at www.creativelive.com/creativecalling.

Enjoy!
