Seems that a new guerrilla campaign by Olympus in Australia is talking shit about the “rubbish” photos from your camera phone.
“If you’re camera also sends text messages, that will explain why your photos are rubbish.”
Plaques in select Aussie cities bearing the above slogan have been pasted to the street and other urban environs, with the url GetARealCamera.com linking to Olympus. Personally, the message bugs me, but it’s pretty damn clever — made me look twice and type in the url. …
[thx @MarkMImage for the tip & sending in that image!]

If your camera also fakes godawful effects like lens shift and low-pass at a refresh rate of 2fps, that will explain why your photos look so generic… and why you missed the moment.
I like the concept of the photographer being talented enough to pick up any camera & take stunning photos; however, on the other hand, serious amateurs and/or professionals tend to purchase the best equipment they can afford For those who make a living from photography in one capacity or another didn’t/don’t likely produce most of their materials with a cellphone camera.
Who cares. Get back to work.
Obviously, Olympus is feeling threatened by little old iPhone. I don’t blame them.
Be afraid Olympus, be very afraid!
Yeah I totally blame Scott for this! Case closed.
