Remember when I did the original chasejarvisLIVE photo shoot way back in winter? If you recall, I was shooting the album cover image for alt/punk country band Brent Amaker and the Rodeo. We also did post production and editing on the images LIVE as well a few weeks after the shoot. Well now it’s time to print these suckers on a limited edition run of vinyl and there is somewhat of a debate on which image is better.
Simply put, and with no further explanation, I thought I’d ask for your thoughts. So which is better, A or B?

Concept is most important, and the concept between A and B is vastly different. Does B really showcase the band… or showcase the girl in front?
Maybe if the girl was in the band, I’d say put her in front just for sex appeal—but she’s a big distraction.
A. The woman in the foreground of B is lovely but a bit distracting IMO.
I like elements of both but B is my fave, good to have at least one conscious woman I suppose….
OK old school rock and rollers…B kinda reminds me of the REO Speedwagon hi INfiDELITY cover…
B, remember humans are another kind of animal, when you see the lady fugure standing in front, your eye goes and stays, it doesnt matter if you are men or woman, it just pulls your attention and then let your eye goes to the rest of the image, in this case the band.
What i am trying to say here is that the A image can pass and not much people stays, the B image can get a lot more attention, well, thats just my opinion in a commercial way.
My photographic eye tells me that the A image is more like in order, B image is kind of messy.
But i would go for B image, just because i think it could sell easy.
