Alright, I literally just heard about this and the contest is ending in 5-mins so I will do my best to provide you with a few reasons why you should choose me for this event.
Chase, I heard about you just a few weeks ago when you interviewed Julien Smith. Long story short, that interview had a profound impact upon the way I have been conducting my life and business as of late. Julien’s no-BS attitude is something which really shattered some barriers that I had up regarding my interaction with others.
Back to the contest.
I am a young, aspiring entrepreneur hoping to focus my entrepreneurial career primarily in social enterprise.
I have had conversations with a few entrepreneurs that have highlighted the importance of having the correct ‘entrepreneurial mindset’ in order to succeed even in social enterprise.
I feel as if I have the ethics in place which will drive me to pursue a tremendous social enterprise (think Scott Harrison from charity:water) but I don’t have the necessary business background in order to really make this change a reality. I want to have an impact for good upon this world, and I realize that there are specific skills needed to make this a reality. This Creative Live event will serve as further preparation to achieve this end.
I really would give anything to make it to this event.
I heard about the event two days ago and I knew immediately that I wanted to go (and planned to attend online). However, you and I both know that interaction with the world-changers is much more effective than learning the content.
For me, this event serves not only as an opportunity to learn amazing one-off content, but to meet some of the people who have had a tremendous impact on my life this past year (Chris Guillibeau, yourself, Guy Kawasaki, etc.)
To top it off, I want my entrepreneurial activities to provide a way out of the harsh financial situation my family is currently in.
My father is ready to lose his house, leaving my 4 younger brothers without a place to call home.
This will further my opportunity to bring them out of this harsh reality.
Ok, well I gotta submit this now!
Hope you pick me! (Really)
Thanks,
Nick
I would LOVE to join you at this event because i feel your energy! I believe in everything you teach and want you to shake me up a little! and it would be a thrill to get a life time of inspiration in 2 days!
Chase-
First off, it was great running into you and Kate at Zoka this week. I was stoked to finally present you with my product, the ClearShot – credit card size tripod from the very first production run. As an engineer for Boeing, I finally dropped out a few months ago after 7 years to pursue this project full time, and I never could have done it without the support of you and your dream team. I always knew that it was MY dream to take a product idea and bring it to market, and I have finally done it and am finding success as I work out deals with major distribution channels.
Through insights and education provided via your network of super talented artists and professionals, I have learned the REAL lessons of what it takes, and how to get there. Inspired by the likes of Oren, Ramit, Les Stroud, Travis Rice, Guy, Robert Green, Julien Smith, my very good friend Matthew Jordan Smith, and so many others I’ve seen online and in person, I have grown more in the past 2 years than any other period in my life.
I had the engineering skills to design the ClearShot, but I had to learn from scratch how to manage everything around it. A nearly infinite number of challenges have been overcome as I have deeloped the product, from patent and legal, marketing, outreach, building a brand and a message, and just having the overall inspiration to continue during the most difficult times, I look forward to the opportunity to continue my education with you this weekend. Thank you.
Mike Carney
Throughout my studies at ASU, I have been engrossed in the curiosity and potential of the entrepreneurs potential. Though, it is not definite, it holds exciting possibilities. I am a self-experimenter and science enthusiast at heart. I get interested in applications and technologies because they amuse me and I want to know more. I am very interested in the ability of our minds, and I want to take this to the full potential that we can. I have many questions and many ideas I want to explore, one that I already have been working on has to do with memory retention and how to best reproduce effective results. If we can shape a software (or app) around this instruction, we can influence the efficiency at which we learn, and thus create better children, better citizens… better human beings. Take a chance on me- worst case, I fly in and we can share a beer together
So I can learn to live life on my terms from the best.
