Hopefully you caught this popular post last quarter. And so it continues here with another review of the top lenses - this time of the top Nikon lenses - my preferred weapon of choice when shooting stills. You already know I rarely write about gear since there are entire websites dedicated to that sophistry but it doesn't change the fact that it's still a top request I get from you, so the way I mitigate... read more ›

Given the response and discussion around last week's post on the D600, I invited pal Ben Pitt back to share another hands on review of a camera that has been competing for eyeballs: the GH3. Personally, the message bugs... read more ›

Every time we roll down the street or fly around the world, I pack and move cases of gear. No... read more ›

Hey all, Erik here with a quick guest post about a subject that’s raised a lively debate in our studio. Everyone on our crew has long been shooting with Polaroids, rangefinders, micro 4/3 cameras adapted to accept vintage lenses...even processing digital images to look like they came out of an old dusty camera. Surveying the landscape, it’s clear this tide has been rising for a while now and we’re not the only ones attached to... read more ›
