Find Your Thing And Do That Thing…

Find your thing and do that thing better than anybody else does that thing even if you think
that thing has no value because I promise you that it does. And I promise you that other people will see this value too.

[I’ll continue to post these little notes I scribble out–little journal notes–if you like dig em. Please let me know here, G+ or Twitter. I write them using Amazing Type-writer app for iPhone. Happy holidays.]

Hey Chase, great content as always, and I really enjoyed your recent interview with one Ramit Sethi. Anyway, I read this really awesome blurb and I couldn’t help but think about Austin Kleon, creator of Newspaper Blackout. Heard of it? I’m sure you can get really creative with the technique as well as creating awesome content for your bloggers. Here’s a link to Blackout: http://newspaperblackout.com/

Hope it inspires! Kleon’s releasing a book in 2 months called “How to Steal Like An Artist” and I’m sure you’ll enjoy that read. 🙂

so true, and so simple, somehow we are programmed to look at others and somehow think we have to do what others do or did.

The first steps of doing your own thins are so hard…

You might like this quote from Steve Martin:

“When people ask me, ‘how do you make it in show business,’ or whatever, what I always tell them — and nobody ever takes note of it ‘cuz it’s not the answer they wanted to hear…but I always say, ‘Be so good they can’t ignore you.’”
