
Even at our most creative moments, we could go further if it were not for that little voice inside our head.
And that little voice puts up roadblocks. Sometimes those roadblocks are real, but more often those roadblocks are completely constructed from nothing but irrational fear or the most basic of actions. Perhaps knowing that other people share many of the same silly roadblocks–and even knowing what some of them are–will help us all move through them.

I’ll start us off. I’d be more creative if I more regularly created the quietness in my life that creativity requires.

I’d be more creative if I spent less time in front of a screen reading all these blogs
I’d be more creative if I felt I was shooting for my career’s sake and not just for the heck of it. I’d be more creative if I could set aside the money for a new website/branding/marketing. I’d be more creative if I wasn’t scared of being disappointed if I fail. I’d be more creative if I wasn’t afraid to let my wife down financially.
I heard a great quote that’s been a motivator lately:

I’d be more creative if I really figured out who I am as a photographer and stopped being like everyone else…
