New Website

Lots of updating and housecleaning going on around here lately, the most fun being the launch of our new site here at www.chasejarvis.com.

As such, I wanted to invite you to poke around our new digs. Lots of new photos–twenty something new galleries, there’s finally a video page, and…well..a lot more. And we’re continuing to update and transform the site into a smooth machine over the coming week. That said, your feedback is incredibly valuable to us. We’re listening – so thanks in advance. We know there’s still a lot to work on, especially with the blog and the mobile version. (There’s still flash in there, but, we’re evolving and will continue to…). At any rate please hit up whatever needs addressing in the comments. Or if it’s time sensitive and something’s busted, ping @dartanyon.

Huge thanks to my crew for the hard work – especially amidst all the other work we are lucky enough to be buried in. And we’d be remiss to not thank the great team at Livebooks.com – Matt, Dale, Adam, and Jericho. Thanks a mil for the collaborative process in creating our new site.

I’ll be on the Twit.tv Photo show at 1:30PM today talking about the new site, and photography in general. Tune in.

And again, thank YOU for visiting.

Outstandingly prepared article, only when all bloggers created the same content just like you, the internet will be a more suitable area.

    Hey Chase and gang.

Maybe it’s a bit late in the day but overall impression of the site is good. In a non offensive way, it’s a bit more homely than the last incarnation although if I’m honest, I think i prefered the old look, not that this isn’t good.

It does seem to take a while to load for me on various machines and broswers, particularly the bolg. It’ll get 80% done and then drag it’s heels for a bit before dropping the rest right in. Maybe it’s a caching issue my end. Maybe others have seen the same?

    Best

Yea, no way on the font! Its terrible. I also liked the fact that the old website wasn’t as large. This one basically fills the screen. I don’t like it.

Been searching for a means to contact/inquire about the possibility of adding captioning to the videos posted on this website. Had no luck, and figured this was the best place to comment on it… I enjoy this website as a source of information, inspiration and a means to kill time whenever I’m not doing something. There are some who are more visual savvy, rather than hearing, like myself. So I was hoping to ask you guys, if you would be willing to add subtitling or captioning to your videos, as well as the Live videos once they’re done (Live captioning not needed, I can wait 🙂 )

    Much appreciated,
    Aaron
