I was in Paris last week. Part work, but mostly fun. Eating, drinking, being merry, and of course, snapping photos my iPhone–as I do everyday–with no end goal beyond staying creatively engaged.
I was just now kicking through photos from the trip and stumbled on a couple of snapshots I thought were interesting for various reasons. I’ve posted stuff like this before and was really excited by the resulting discussion, so I figured I’d throw it out there again… These are of course just snapshots, but even snapshots have merit. AND these photos are VERY different from one another…. So, simply put, I thought I’d ask for your thoughts, which is better, A or B? And why?
Vote in the comments. Also love to know ‘why’ if you care to explain. 500 px wide images after the jump…

Here’s Photo A:

Here’s Photo B:
Which is better and why?

I’m going to say “A”
Both have great composition – I like the contrast (both light and shape) in “B” a lot – but the clincher for me is the human element in “A”, with it I can look at the photo again and again and again. Each revisit sparks a new conversation in my head. Photo “B”, while attractive, does not have as much potential for conversation (and I mean by that primarily Internal conversation) as “A” does.
But then, I am a sucker for people!
Cheers
Joe
Photo A
The man on the ground is intriguing. Also feels a little Where’s Waldo.
A
At first I wanted to say Photo B, because I just like the symmetry. But with B I saw it and thought: cool, then moved on. Then I took a closer look at Photo A and the more I look at it the more I see that didn’t notice before. There’s a story there and I look at that image and want to know more.
B I like the wheel
B. i like it better.
