I was in Paris last week. Part work, but mostly fun. Eating, drinking, being merry, and of course, snapping photos my iPhone–as I do everyday–with no end goal beyond staying creatively engaged.
I was just now kicking through photos from the trip and stumbled on a couple of snapshots I thought were interesting for various reasons. I’ve posted stuff like this before and was really excited by the resulting discussion, so I figured I’d throw it out there again… These are of course just snapshots, but even snapshots have merit. AND these photos are VERY different from one another…. So, simply put, I thought I’d ask for your thoughts, which is better, A or B? And why?
Vote in the comments. Also love to know ‘why’ if you care to explain. 500 px wide images after the jump…

Here’s Photo A:
Here’s Photo B:
Which is better and why?
A, hands down.
A. B is more visually interesting to me, but A looks like it has a story, and I want to know what it is. So, backing up… B is better, but A is more interesting and compels me to find out more.
I like A better. it opens up lots of ideas and thoughts. It has a more interesting concept to me, and the angle is one that I personally like a lot.
Definitely A IMHO because it tells a story, it has texture and contrast and is more memorable. B has a nice PV and pattern to it, but it didn’t resonate as much in comparison to A.
I like both….two very different aspects.
A: brings me more to a human story or to ask; “what is it? what is going on there?”
B: the graphic aspect; straight line, square closed frame from the houses and the curve at the end.
They are two different categoties. If I look at A with a graphic approach, well… not so convincing. But on a human story; there is a lot to think, imagine and touch.
So may be at the end it is more a question about the kind of pictures we are actracted the most ikn general or at this precise moment.
