Transform your business with Secrets from Silicon Valley.
This event is more than a year in the works, thousands of hours of work from some very talented people, and more than a few sleepless nights on my own part. We are opening our San Francisco based creativeLIVE studio TOMORROW and the very first broadcast is one you don’t want to miss. I’ll be hosting and it’s going to deliver a punch of insider, unprecedented information from some of the world’s smartest people.

This broadcast offers you direct access to the pioneering minds behind this powerful community. Whether your business is just you or employs fifty people, you’ll learn how to survive, grow, and thrive directly from entrepreneurs who have done it. Do you want to learn from LinkedIn’s founder Reid Hoffman and ask about his secrets to success? Tim Ferriss? Guy Kawasaki? Chris Guillebeau? You’ll hear from them and many more. I know I’ve learned a thing or two from these people I call friends, but knowing what I know about how valuable their secrets have been, I would have given a limb to be able to ask them questions years ago.
If you win the contest below, you can attend in person, but even if you don’t win, you can still get the entire knowledge base by >>> RSVP’ing right here under ‘sign up’ <<<< and then tuning in live. hi chase & the silicon valley/cL team!!
i would love the opportunity to travel to san francisco and be a part of the live audience for “secrets of silicon valley”! i’ve been dreaming of running a full-time wedding photography business for years now, and in the past year i’ve started my business and got the ball rolling! however as a full-time graduate student, over time i somehow put my true goals for the future on the back burner. i realized this in the past few months and am reorganizing my priorities and my life to better reflect where i want to be. i know that not only the knowledge i would gain from hearing all of these experts speak, but also the experience of being there in person would help give me the extra push i need to take my business to the next level. i’m a *huge* fan of creativeLIVE & it would be wonderful to be able to contribute as a part of the audience! plus, hanging out in the downtime doesn’t sound too bad either! lol.
thanks for your generosity & for sharing your knowledge!! i know you’ve changed many people’s lives (including mine!). =)
My brain is yearning for some learning, and meeting the great minds of the Bay,
also I am super geek when it comes to photography DIY gear.
so I will not be boring you on your flight. I speak four languages, got various technical degrees, etc. etc.
It would be amazing if you choose me on this trip bro.
Because spontaneity is the ultimate freedom; a chance to surprise yourself and create unimaginable, fun and exciting works.
Because I’ve never been to Silicon Valley and that provides me the ultimate opportunity to make of it what I can.
Because the amount of people I’ve met with three capital letters in their job description number approximately zero.
Because I’m young, free and enthusiastic with an eye for the unusual, the emotional, the aesthetic.
Because I appreciate the person across the table as well as the beer upon it.
Because I woke up this morning not expecting it.
Everyone has passion, everyone begins with drive, ever now and again we need a little push. Hello, Chase. My name is Chelse and it would be an honor to join you for this event! I am currently struggling to find a balance in doing what I love (photography) and doing what I have to do. I honestly believe this workshop will give me the information, answers, I need to survive as a fellow creative. =] Please, give me the opportunity. Thank you for CreativeLive! Thank all of you! It really has made a difference.
F. Scott Fitzgerald said, “I’m not sure what I’ll do, but- well, I want to go places and see people. I want my mind to grow. I want to live where things happen on a big scale.” When I left my six-year career as a classroom teacher to attend graduate school at the University of Washington for digital media, I had absolutely no idea why I felt such a strong pull to disrupt my life. Almost a year later, I have begun to find some answers to that pull: I’ve had an internship turn into a new career path and a deep intrinsic drive planted in my soul to become a creative innovator in the Ed-Tech industry.
Recently someone asked me what I wanted to do with my life and while I do not have my entrepreneurial plans concretely mapped out yet, I do know one thing; I want to lead. And I don’t just want to successfully lead; I want to authentically lead.
Winning this contest would allow me a once in a lifetime opportunity to pick the minds of individuals who can help shape my energy and imagination. These individuals can teach me about asking the right questions, selling my ideas, and following my entrepreneurial spirit. These individuals would provide me with the growth of new ideas and fresh thinking; something that Charlene Li points out in her book, Open Leadership, works to solve everyday problems. If the current state of our K-12 education system isn’t an everyday problem, then I don’t know what is!
To me, being an authentic leader means remaining flexible, open, aware, and creative. Sitting down with the industry leaders at “Secrets of Silicon Valley” would provide insight into how I, as an authentic business leader, can create common purpose supported by collaboration principles, continue to learn from the outer edges of my company, and share my gained knowledge with future employees; all in a transparent environment that fosters united determination.
Today’s digital era can be fraught with change and uncertainty and the K-12 education sector is not immune to this. My ability to learn and adapt faster than any of my competitors in the Ed-Tech industry will give me an edge and I know that being present at “Secrets of Silicon Valley” will push me one step closer to being the quickest learner and adapter.
So, while I may not be the picture you have in your head of a future entrepreneur you’d like to sit down and have a beer with, I firmly believe that diversity brings new perspectives to old ideas. My eager mind, open point of view, and unprecedented energy have all helped me find success thus far in my life and I am confident they will continue to do so as I embark on my journey of innovating and impacting school systems with digital media use. The chance to be physically present at “Secrets of Silicon Valley” in San Francisco will be one more step in the right direction for me to follow the advice of St. Catherine from Sienna: “Be who you were created to be, and you will set the world on fire.”
