This event is more than a year in the works, thousands of hours of work from some very talented people, and more than a few sleepless nights on my own part. We are opening our San Francisco based creativeLIVE studio TOMORROW and the very first broadcast is one you don’t want to miss. I’ll be hosting and it’s going to deliver a punch of insider, unprecedented information from some of the world’s smartest people.

I know I’ve learned a thing or two from these people I call friends, but knowing what I know about how valuable their secrets have been, I would have given a limb to be able to ask them questions years ago.

If I win, since my guest is already in town, can we rent a 1600 series Leprecon theatrical lighting controller for my job so my L2 can do my job while I’m gone? That would be rad.

Why pick me? Because I would literally try to run there from Austin if it meant I could be there. Don’t think I would make it in time though.

I’m 24, and I own my own door to door Home Automation sales company. I figured out my last year of college that I wanted to own my own business, so I took 51 credits that year in order to finish up my degree ASAP. Midway through that year I started my own Home Automation company in order to build up capital so I could travel and then be able to start another company that could have a chance of changing the world.

I’ve got about one more year of doing this and then I will be ready to continue on to the next venture. I just recently moved my business to Austin to be in an exciting place where things are changing rapidly. I would love to come to San Francisco and meet numerous people who’s words and moves I’ve been following for years and see their ideas and energy in person!

I was 7 years old when my mom brought me to the US. We were undocumented. For the last 23 years I have lived in the US hiding in the shadows because of the fear of deportation. I was blessed to have taken up photography in recent years, because unlike other jobs/professions where one has to prove if you are legally allowed to work or not. Photography has helped me immensely, from the simple fact that I don’t have to prove a legal status in the US to be able to provide the photos my customers hire me for.

Fast forward….in 2012 President Obama declares that kids who came into the US before they were 16 years of age, who also – graduated from HS, have no criminal background, are self-sufficient (photography!!) and are under 31 years (just barely!) could apply for a work permit, a SSN, DL etc…! WOW!!!! I got lucky to be able to apply for the permit and now I can not wait to show people what kids like me (D.R.E.A.M.E.R.S) can actually bring to the economy, infrastructure, and culture of this great country.

So by choosing me, you are all showing your support of the American Dream, and isn’t that the point of the seminar?
To better one’s self? To improve? To grow?
I bet in the majority of companies that are being represented at that seminar you have a substantial amount of people from other countries that are here to live that dream.. to do the $100 start up (Chris Guillebeau), to work at companies like Google/Apple/Oracle all in the Silicon Valley.

    Great minds. Americans. Immigrants.

    Hope you choose me.

My older brother’s a dang good photographer. We currently live together in South Korea (from Oregon). I’m a filmmaker and he is an english teacher/aspiring photographer. Biggest trouble is: he suffers from depression. He would LOVE to be a full-time photographer, but whenever he reaches out…the doubts and depression and fear grab onto him and drag him back. I think this opportunity could truly rejuvenate his creative spirit…(not to mention my own)…and energize him to press on. It would be stellar to bring him to an amazing place where he can hear and learn from the best minds of today. Plus, I’d love to hear about your Kilimanjaro Journey in person.

    잘 가요!

    -S from Korea,

I’ve been struggling to launch a business for the last year and the materials produced by both the Creative Live team and Chase’s blog have helped really mold my approach for my next attempt.

Dealing with chronic pain and managing one’s life to the point of starting your day on a solid baseline can be excruciatingly difficult. It’s moments like those days where the pain is unbearable that you can barely leave the house, that Creative Live has really been a blessing for me. Being able to learn at my own pace and push through the down moments and having the information stick has meant everything to me.

You want a compelling answer? How about never giving up. See, I’ve already won. Being able to watch this from home tomorrow means I’m going to gain knowledge that will explode the work I’m putting in right now.

Being with you all in the studio just means I get a chance to say “Thank You” face-to-face. I’m looking forward to the material in any case.

    Thanks again,

    –Carlos
