I’m an educated person. I have a business degree from a top university and recently completed law school. However, nowhere in my studies have I had access to the knowledge offered by this event. In spite of my poor choice in going to law school, I’ve decided to pursue an opportunity with people who are trying to revolutionize the publishing industry and achieve lofty goals in public relations (many of the speakers in this event will know who these people are). Attending this event will fill in gaps that traditional education has failed to address, and allow me to contribute on a high, meaningful level in my new endeavor immediately.
I’ve followed many of the speakers at this event for a while and would love to connect with and learn from them in a more personal setting. I’d love to discuss how to spread the ideas being presented through places like CreativeLive to a wider audience of young people who feel that their traditional educational experiences have failed to prepare them for the real world.
I would like to shake Tim Ferriss’ hand and thank him for his section on the female orgasm in The 4HB. On a more serious note, I would like to be humbled in a room of such successful people. Tim’s high school wrestling coach, John, was my high school headmaster. John said Tim always tried to do things a little differently, even if it was just bench pressing a little differently. I see myself in a similar way. I abhor the status quo, and am always looking for ways to innovate. I’d be humbled to learn from the best.
Why do you want to join me at the event?
I’m a 23 year old semi-lazy out of the box thinker with a passion for technology, entrepreneurship, and efficiency. I see business as an outlet to allow me the freedom to live life the way I want. I’m seeking guidance from other like minded people to show me that my ideas aren’t as complicated as I make them out to be and can be executed with a little bit of motivation guided in the proper direction. This event was created to inspire people like myself, and I need to be there.
I believe being a responsible entrepreneur is one of the best ways we can directly benefit our society. I hope to create a business that will offer positive support and services that people truly desire. Over the past year, I have done a lot to improve my life and the life of those around me. Why pick me? Simple, because I need this. I am a recent college graduate and professional athlete. Upon my sports career ending, I spent over a year in the commercial real estate industry. I knew I did not enjoy my job but it wasn’t until Mr. Ferris (unknowingly) convinced me to leave my job. It was the best decision I have ever made, however; now I am stuck at the infamous crossroads of “what to do next.” Trying to find my passion and getting started in the field has been incredibly overwhelming and difficult.
