It’s Monday. Let’s shake out the cobwebs from the weekend. Finish this sentence with your own words, from your own point of view about your own work:
My pictures would be better if _______________.
[feel free to substitute ‘pictures’ with ‘art’, ‘writing’, ‘painting’, whatever you like. BTW, my answer is first in the comments…]

…if I wasn’t so afraid of dealing with people that I let it make me turn down 80% of the inquiries I get. Can’t improve if I won’t shoot.
If I stopped listening to the little demon in my head telling me I’m not good enough!
If I devoted more time to photography.
If I could decide “what subjects do I truly enjoy shooting?”
Well My pictures would be better if…. I had the guts to turn them into publishers.
I had better equipment.
I was more motivated.
I criticized my photos less.
I went to school for
Photography.
Which brings me to my question for the INSPIRING and truly TALENTED Chase Jarvis. Do you feel that schooling can make or break a photographer. I understand school is important and feel all kinds should go. But what can college teach me, that the real world can’t?
Is it better to go to College for photography?
Thank you for reading Chase.
My pictures would be better if I put more effort into in: practicing, planning, knowing myself…
My pictures would be better if I follow the advises of Chase and you people.
thanks guys!
