Clients From Hell [Friday Photo Humor]

clients from hell via chase jarvisClient: “How come all the photos I took have the heads cut off?”

You: “Hmm, Did you look though the view finder when you took them?”

Client: “I don’t know what that is. Can’t you just move the picture up so I can see their heads? I mean they’re digital pictures?”

Clients come in all shapes, sizes and levels of experience in every line of work. Embedded this here due to its relevance. If you have clients at all–or might be one yourself–check out Clients From Hell for an occasional laugh. This one sent to me but a bunch of peeps (including Taylor at Hipsters With Kids). Have other laughs? Share them below or at CFH. Have a great weekend. Take lots of pictures.

    – a recent wedding conversation, 2 days prior to a wedding –

client: I know we only purchased x amount of wedding hours coverage and our timeline has grown a few extra hours recently – but can’t you just stay longer and shoot?

us: Of course! With a small investment we can increase the coverage to capture all the special moments of your day. (we love dialog 🙂

client: WHAT? I mean really it’s not like you are shooting every single second of the day we’re paying you for anyway! I just don’t understand why you can’t add the time you’re not shooting to the end of our wedding!

It became a little heated, but we kept our cool and used all the correct dialog to remedy the situation. In the end it was an amazing event and the couple were blown away by the final images and how much work really goes into wedding photography. These types of things seem to pop every now and again, I guess every time it does it allows us to grow and become even better at what we do and how we handle our clients expectations. Which, in the end really set us apart.

But, damn! It’s always great to hear other people have the same challenges!

    Cheers!

    Chase,

That was so funny. I have students like that too. I am sure at one time or another that could be me. Depends on the subject. Remembering to be patient with any question is key to being a good teacher. Teaching online makes that easier to do. I can hide my initial reactions.

I have loved how you are mentor to so many and are so willing to share your work and knowledge with others.

The show's logo is displayed on the left side, with "THE CHASE JARVIS LIVE" in bold black text inside yellow rectangles, stacked vertically. The right side of the image features a robotic figure, resembling a humanoid robot, meticulously working on a canvas. The robot is painting or drawing a grayscale portrait of a human-like figure. The robot's detailed mechanical components are visible, and the scene evokes themes of artificial intelligence, creativity, and technology. The background is minimal, allowing focus on the robot and its artwork. The composition suggests an exploration of AI's role in creative processes. Is AI the End of Creativity or Just the Beginning?
