I was in Paris last week. Part work, but mostly fun. Eating, drinking, being merry, and of course, snapping photos my iPhone–as I do everyday–with no end goal beyond staying creatively engaged.
I was just now kicking through photos from the trip and stumbled on a couple of snapshots I thought were interesting for various reasons. I’ve posted stuff like this before and was really excited by the resulting discussion, so I figured I’d throw it out there again… These are of course just snapshots, but even snapshots have merit. AND these photos are VERY different from one another…. So, simply put, I thought I’d ask for your thoughts, which is better, A or B? And why?
Vote in the comments. Also love to know ‘why’ if you care to explain. 500 px wide images after the jump…

Here’s Photo A:

Here’s Photo B:
Which is better and why?

Well, I prefer photo A. Why, because I quite like the scene. People having their own goal and it seems they are totaly not interested in what is going on with that man laying on the street. Photo B is not as interesting for me.
I believe photo B is better after analyzing the pictures at a closer look. I decided to go with B instead of A because the composition in photo B was much more appealing, definitely having a vanishing point kept my eyes focused on the car but also the ferris wheel at the end. The lines on the roof lines of the building, the lined up cars and lines used on the pavement all kept my attention towards the car and ferris wheel.
First thought B was stronger from the thumbnail. But, then A reminded me of one time I had a couple jumbo margueritas and flopped over under a tree in the middle of a ball tournament. My husband said he knew it looked weird but left me sleeping. Then, I woke up to some kids staring down at me…”Lady, you alright?” lol!
A
I like “A” for many of the same reasons listed. The lines and overall image tone draw me more into the picture trying to figure out what is going on.
For “B” I feel constricted. The narrowness, leading lines, and tonality honestly make me think more about a horror movie. Like some kind of monster would be at the end.
