Chase Jarvis Photo Aspen 779Day 4 here, coming at you–almost live–from Aspen/Snowmass. We’ve had an epic previous 3 days…and today the weather turned milky on us. Just white everywhere, with no snow…so we took the morning off which allowed me to wrangle a bunch of behind-the-scenes photos for your viewing pleasure. 30-something photos here from our iPhones, point and shoots, micro 4/3’s etc. Big thanks to Andrew, Erik, and Jerard mostly for helping me compile some of these.

Click through the tabs above to check out all the images.

As a heads up, we DID end up getting one of our shots in town last night and we’re back at it this morning…it’s 5:28am as I’m typing this right now and I’m due for call time here in 17 minutes so I gotta run. Feel free to ask questions of the images if you have any – I’ll answer what I can. And be so kind to follow along in the other channels, my Twitter @chasejarvis, my Facebook page, my Google+ page – which are EACH getting exclusive content this week. And be so kind to follow the great crew at Aspen/Snowmass on their twitter handle too…@aspensnowmass. Stay tuned for more helicopters, kids, and world-class athlete stuff coming up.

Is #31 at The Belly Up? Looks like you guys had a blast in Aspen. Was there for a weekend getaway & concert last month. What’s a 60 second portrait? What gloves do you use for winter shooting?

Do you not worry about excessive consumption of our earth’s resources? I can see that your making a living for yourself and your family(and also hanging out of a helicopter taking shots and getting payed for would be an insane experience), but I understand that helicopters are incredibly inefficient. So therefore do think it’s ok to use up such huge amounts of energy and finite resources all for a couple of shots for some greedy capitalist company who just wants to post there name on any billboard, bus stop, and online advertisement spaces they can get there hands on? I respect you so much for your ability to get the position where you can be payed to do for what so many can only dream of doing, but should you not stand up for what is right and raise awareness among the companies of such issues they seem to ignore so well? Thanks, and sorry if I bored you and for the spelling and grammar mistakes..

i’m pretty sure artist jarvis has touched on this many a time–i don’t want to put words in his mouth so i wont. if you noticed, there was also a lot of skiing going on

So what? That doesn’t make it alright? And what is your point about the skiing, it makes no sense?
And thanks again Chase for ignoring my question, you appear to scared to answer. I believe that means you know what your doing is wrong, but your too selfish to give a fuck..

Courtesy of shot #32, I now know what a celebration of nailing “snots” looks like. Great images, thanks for sharing.
