I was in Paris last week. Part work, but mostly fun. Eating, drinking, being merry, and of course, snapping photos my iPhone–as I do everyday–with no end goal beyond staying creatively engaged.
I was just now kicking through photos from the trip and stumbled on a couple of snapshots I thought were interesting for various reasons. I’ve posted stuff like this before and was really excited by the resulting discussion, so I figured I’d throw it out there again… These are of course just snapshots, but even snapshots have merit. AND these photos are VERY different from one another…. So, simply put, I thought I’d ask for your thoughts, which is better, A or B? And why?
Vote in the comments. Also love to know ‘why’ if you care to explain. 500 px wide images after the jump…

Which is better and why?

Just wanted to put my site out there 🙂

thanks
Well B seems to follow all the photography “rules”…and I put them in quotes because rules are meant to be bent/broken (only after they’ve been learned) It pulls the viewer’s eyes to the center and eventually hit the ferris wheel….not much emotion but still architecturally solid. But A seems to convey more emotion (as already mentioned by others on here) and still hold some “rules” true , but leads the viewer’s eyes in many directions and eventually leads them back around again….full circle so to speak. So in my humble opinion…. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder….but A holds my eye
My mind is not at peace when I see photo A
But B makes me more stable and relaxed and my eye slowly travels up the road then comes back through the buildings.
But I don’t know what the heck is in photo A that draws my eye at first glance.
I prefere A, more dynamic, more tension and I love The man laying down.
A
Great lines, grabs you and keeps you. Generates questions and keeps you engaged.
B – you look and you leave.
