Which Photo Is Better: A or B ?

I was in Paris last week. Part work, but mostly fun. Eating, drinking, being merry, and of course, snapping photos my iPhone–as I do everyday–with no end goal beyond staying creatively engaged.

I was just now kicking through photos from the trip and stumbled on a couple of snapshots I thought were interesting for various reasons. I’ve posted stuff like this before and was really excited by the resulting discussion, so I figured I’d throw it out there again… These are of course just snapshots, but even snapshots have merit. AND these photos are VERY different from one another…. So, simply put, I thought I’d ask for your thoughts, which is better, A or B? And why?

Vote in the comments. Also love to know ‘why’ if you care to explain. 500 px wide images after the jump…

“A” looks like to me a very good “catch the moment” type of
street photography shot. Presented by great balance and composition. Also I found it more interesting to look at and watch, than photo “B”.

But in photo “B” I like the balance and perspective. Just not that interesting personally.

I think A is a better image. My first reaction was to pick B as I love the image and it reminds me a lot of a Henri Cartier-Bresson or a Doisneau image. But when I looked at A again it really made me think about society, helping others, etc. And that’s what photography should do, make us think.

Fotografia A, pois retrata mais o social, fotojornalismo, a fotografia B poderia ser montada novamente, já a A é impossivel. (linguagem: portugues)

The photograph, as it portrays the most social, photojournalism, photography B could be mounted again, since the A is impossible.
